All services are provided on a best-effort basis. We will assess each job individually and provide a quote before commencing work. We reserve the right to decline any job at our discretion.
Submitting a booking request through our website does not constitute a confirmed booking or a binding contract. A booking is only confirmed once we have reviewed your request, provided a quote, and you have accepted it. No payment is required until a booking is confirmed.
Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices may vary based on the final assessment of the device and the complexity of the work required.
By submitting a device for repair or data services, you confirm that:
SafeFile Solution accepts no liability for devices submitted without proper authorisation.
Data recovery is inherently unpredictable. While we use professional techniques and tools, we cannot guarantee the successful recovery of any data. Factors including the extent of damage, type of failure, and previous recovery attempts may affect the outcome.
We will provide an honest assessment of the likelihood of recovery before commencing work. If recovery is not possible, you will not be charged for the recovery attempt unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Our secure data wiping service is designed to permanently and irreversibly erase all data from your device or storage media. Once a data wipe has been completed, the data cannot be recovered by any means.
By requesting this service, you acknowledge and accept that all data on the specified device will be permanently destroyed. SafeFile Solution is not responsible for any data loss resulting from a requested data wipe. A Certificate of Destruction may be provided upon request.
We carry out repairs with reasonable care and skill. However, certain risks are inherent in IT repair work, including but not limited to:
SafeFile Solution's total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, business interruption, or loss of profits.
Once your device has been repaired or serviced, we will notify you that it is ready for collection. You must collect your device within 30 days of notification. After 30 days, a storage fee may apply. Devices left uncollected for more than 90 days may be disposed of or recycled at our discretion, with reasonable attempts to contact you beforehand.
Payment terms will be agreed upon before work begins. We accept payment via bank transfer, cash, or other methods as communicated at the time of booking. Full payment is due upon completion of the work unless alternative arrangements have been made in writing.
We take your privacy seriously. Any personal information collected through our website or during the course of providing services will be handled in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We will not share your personal information with third parties except where required by law or necessary to provide our services.
